My sister

Women as pin-up girl and body builder with big muscles raises many subconscious questions about femininity, body and ideals. The muscle building affirmed pinup-ideal while there is a desire to eliminate any trace of weakness, a weakness that can be interpreted as traditional femininity.

My sister, Swedish champion in Athletic Fitness, is in focus of this work.
The photographs have been shown in the exhibition Art Feminism in Liljevalchs in Stockholm, Dunkers Culture House in Helsingborg and Gothenburg Art Museum, and Nordic in Focus in Stockholm.
